On Thursday 15th June 2023 Age Friendly Limerick in partnership with St Munchins Community Centre, held an event to observe World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. This is a significant event, which occurs every year on the 15th June, which is dedicated to raising awareness about the alarming issue of elder abuse. This day serves as a reminder of the various forms in which elder abuse can manifest, including financial, emotional, and physical abuse.

We were joined on the day by Community Gardaí from Mayorstone Garda Station, members of the HSE Community Healthcare team, ALONE & Slaintecare Healthy Communities Team.
