Members of Limerick’s OPE, accompanied by the Limerick Programme Manager, proudly took part in the National Age Friendly Sports Day.
The event offered a fantastic range of taster sessions, including Cricket for All, Go for Life Games, parkrun demonstrations, inspiring guest speakers, Fitstix, and an Active Class with Weights.
Our group enthusiastically participated in several activities such as the Adapted Céilí Session, Walking Football, Trishaw Rides, and a Tai hi Class.
It was a brilliant opportunity for older adults to explore new and enjoyable ways to stay active—many of which they may not have tried before.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in organising such a wonderful and inclusive event!
