A few verses from U3A Member, Sheila Meade, to reflect this celebration

Happy Birthday U3A, You are 20 years young today

Happy Birthday U3A

You are 20 years young today

You’ve reached this day with pride & grace

A joyful time, a special place

This group of older adults, wise and kind

With curious hearts and active minds

From talks and trips to laughs and fun

New things to learn for everyone

Then Covid struck – March 2020

And LIFE, once full, then felt empty

But something stirred amid the fear

Neighbours drew each other near

In time, a different normal grew

Not as it was, but something new

We met online, our spirits high

Zoom kept our friendships strong & nigh

Now back again, with joy we meet

In Baldoyle Library’s welcoming seat

With memories made and more ahead

Together still, by purpose led

To the Steering Group,

And to the many volunteers, a grateful cheer

For all you’ve done year after year

You guide, inspire, and warmly share

With steadfast heart, and thoughtful care

So here’s to you and all you do

Twenty great years, and a bright future too

Happy Birthday U3A, You are 20 years young today
