Age Friendly Mayo

Joan Martin, Chief Executive of Louth County Council is presented with a gift by the Chair of the Louth Alliance Rodd Bond on the occasion of her retirement from the local authority.

Louth developed the first county Age Friendly Programme in Ireland, a model which was scaled up across all local authority areas.

Joan has been a real champion for the Age Friendly cause, representing Ireland on Age Platform in the EU and playing a leading role in many innovative projects including the EU SHAFE Project.
