Our Older Persons Executive consists of 3 representatives from each of our 4 Municipal Districts – Metropolitan, Adare/Rathkeale, Newcastle West & Cappamore/Kilmallock. They meet bi-monthly throughout the year. This particular structure was adopted in January 2023 having held a large Open Day in November 2022. They played a big part in helping inform parts of our Age Friendly Strategy. Our members have met with the National Ambulance Service and are on the Commission for Care for Older Persons.
On 20th April 2023 Elizabeth Liz Stanley and Paddy Hyland were elected Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Limerick Older People’s Executive.
