Limerick City and County Council, in partnership with Focus Housing Association, is excited to announce the launch of this scheme tailored for homeowners aged 55 and above who find their current homes too large for their needs.

Key Features of the Scheme:

  • Eligibility: Homeowners aged 55+ who find their current homes too large.
  • Housing Offer: 2-bedroom ground floor homes (83.1 m² – 85.3 m²) in a well-serviced area with plenty of amenities. The floor area exceeds the minimum floor area required for a 2-bedroom home by approximately 10 m² – 12 m².
  • Rear gardens at ground level
  • Tenancy: Lifelong tenancy in a managed older persons scheme.
  • Voluntary Participation: Move only if you choose to.
  • Pet-Friendly: Pets may be allowed upon consultation with Focus Housing Association.
  • Availability: New homes expected to be available by end of August 2024 and December 2024.
  • Shared Spaces: Includes front area to property for bin storage

Application Details:

  • Application Period: 9am on 6th August 2024 to 5pm on 16th August 2024.
  • Application Fee: €50 non-refundable, payable at Limerick City & County’s cash office or via cheque/postal order.
  • Documents Required: Full application form, supporting documentation, and receipt of application fee.
