The Offaly Older Person’s AGM was held on 30th May 2023 in the Tullamore Court Hotel. The event was well attended and was opened by the Age Friendly Ambassador for Offaly Michael Duignan. Guest speakers included PJ Lynam, Assistant Managing Director, National Ploughing Association, Sergeant Graham Kavanagh Laois/Offaly Crime Prevention Officer and Ciaran Mullooly Former Chief Correspondent for RTÉ News, Community & Social Enterprise Worker.

Information tables were provided on the day by LOETB, HSE, TFI-Local Link, Tullamore Library, Home Instead, TASK Community Care, Offaly County Council Check the Register, Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Consultation was carried out with the group on the development of both the Age Friendly Strategy 2023-2028 and the Local and Economic Community Plan 2023-2028.
