On Thursday, 16th October, members of Limerick’s Older People’s Executive, accompanied by the Age Friendly Limerick Programme Manager, enjoyed a scenic trip to Killarney via the Limerick–Killarney Expressway service.

The outing was kindly organised by the Programme Manager in collaboration with Marie King from Bus Éireann. Upon arrival at Limerick’s Colbert Station, OPE members were warmly welcomed with thoughtful gift bags & a photo opportunity before setting off.

We were fortunate to have beautiful autumn weather, which made the day all the more enjoyable. Once in Killarney, members had time to browse local shops and savour a relaxing lunch before returning home. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Bus Éireann for their support and cooperation in making the day such a success.
