Boots Ireland in partnership with the HSE’s Dementia: Understand Together campaign host free Brain Health and Dementia Awareness Events

Boots has partnered with the Dementia: Understand Together campaign since 2016, working to make stores and communities more dementia inclusive through staff training and public events.

The one-hour workshop will offer customers and community members the chance to hear from local health experts about dementia, how to support loved ones with dementia, and practical steps everyone can take to help keep their brain healthy. A member of the Irish Dementia Working Group will also be there on the night to share their personal experience of living with dementia, as well as the dementia advisors from The Alzheimer Society of Ireland and Western Alzheimers (Castlebar).

The workshops will take place in:

  • Cork – Monday 16th June
  • Castlebar – Tuesday 17th June
  • Portlaoise – Wednesday 18th June
