The Older People’s Council Kerry is a key part of the structure of the local Age Friendly Programme. It brings the concerns and experiences of older people to the Age Friendly Alliance/Steering Group and the voice of the older people to the decision making process in both the Age Friendly Programme and in other fora such as the Kerry PPN.
The Older People’s Council is a two-tier structure that comprises a wide membership base of individual older people (i.e. the Over 55’s Network) and older people’s groups, and also an Executive Committee of elected individuals.
The Executive Committee meet four times per year, via hybrid meetings.
