The Galway City OPC meet at the AGM, where a broad range of concerns are discussed in addition to supporting the Age Friendly Programme to give older people a strong voice in the city. Some more local initiatives include the following:
Local version of Directory of Services
In addition to the DOS for city and county, it was agreed that a more localised Directory of Services would be prepared to cover the city area to include approximately 144 services relevant to the older community. It is currently in its final stage of development and will be distributed amongst older communities in due course, including Active Retirement Groups.
OPC AGM
The annual AGM of Galway City OPC will take place on Monday 16th October in the Menlo Park Hotel, Headford Road, Galway. Events for the day are currently finalised with a working group established.
