Age Friendly Ireland | National

World Alzheimers Month

September is World Alzheimer’s Month. It’s a great time to raise awareness, challenge stigma and provides an opportunity for all of us to stand together with people with dementia and their families. Communities across the world will come together under this year’s theme: “Ask About Dementia, Ask about Alzheimer’s.

There are more than 64,000 people living with dementia in Ireland. With this number expected to more than double by 2045, many of us are going to be living with dementia, or supporting a loved one with the condition.
