National Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) Forum

National Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) Forum

Chaired by Mr. Maurice O’Connell (former CEO, Alzheimer Society and current Chair of the Active Ageing in Partnership Alliance) this group is made up of Chief Executive Officers from each of the major national older people’s charities/organisations across Ireland representing and providing a range of services to older people.

The Age Friendly Ireland NGO Forum was established to explore and implement ways in which NGO organisations and the Age Friendly Ireland Programme can work in partnership strategically to strengthen the impact of their respective agendas on the quality of life and well-being of older people across Ireland.

The group meets a minimum of three times per year in LGMA House. A Terms of Reference has been devised.
