Description

The project began with the promotion of the younger person gifting or regifting a digital device to an older adult for Christmas. The next phase of the project involved the purchasing of digital tablets and engaging with partnerships who had members that were missing out on social engagement. The tablets were designated to different groups such as the IFA and Mens sheds to help engagement. The Super Connectors have also developed a user friendly manual to assist the older adult in using the device. They have also recruited the volunteered assistance of Generation Tech and the LMETB who offer a troubleshooting service which the user can ring for help. Results to date have been very successful with massive engagement from the users. The project is currently ongoing and continues to grow develop links. A project with ISSAC is currently being worked on.
