“Connemara Care Implemented a project during Covid to support older people who were isolated and cocooning to still be part and included in local community, combating loneliness isolation and fear as the pandemic progressed. • They presented and produced a 70 page on favorite songs/recipes compiled in a booklet and ran a weekly programme on local radio called musical memories • They liaised with local Youthreach project to make paint and deliver 20 birdboxes to vulnerable isolated individuals •They delivered 60 plant boxes at Christmas and Easter to our clients in Connemara Care encouraging participation in looking after and replanting flowers. • The mindfulness programme distributed paint by numbers kit for older people to engage in painting relieve anxiety and stress • The Walk and Talk project raised 2030 euro for Pieta House counselling services.”
