Description
This group meet twice each week to play music together and to chat and interact with others with an interest in music. They don’t all have to play an instrument some just come to listen. The group have become well known and have been asked to paly at many community events. They have done various events around both Dublin and other counties and are members of the men’s shed national group.
Aim of Initiative
To get people out of their homes and interact with others. To help prevent social isolation and loneliness. They meet up to have a laugh while doing what they love.
Who is it aimed at
Older people who have finished work mostly and who like to play or listen to music.

- Forming the group through friends firstly and then through getting the word out that they had formed.
- Finding a premises where they could meet and play weekly
- Promoting the group both locally and the wider Dublin10 area
