Description
This Community Garden is a place where people of all ages can gather; where social cohesion and friendships develop. They grow and tend plants and vegetables from seed, as well as cultivating shrubs and herbs. Everyone can come together to explore and gain an awareness of growing healthy and nutritious food, as well as gaining a greater awareness of nature, wildlife, flora and fauna.
Since 2013 gardeners have created this garden from a green field into an oasis for biodiversity . Gardeners are all mostly retired so all the time they give is voluntary.
Aim of Initiative
To bring people together in a relaxed atmosphere outdoors learning and sharing knowledge on growing plants and community .
Who is it aimed at
Mainly older people with time to give and knowledge to share.
