The second year students of Ballyhaunis Community School created “lino print” Christmas cards for those living alone / older people in the area. The Community Garda provided a list of names to the school. The students also wrote a letter for their assigned person. The Garda delivered these cards and letters (with an Age Friendly pack) to the people on list. The visit and card was very warmly welcomed by the recipients. Age Friendly Mayo who coordinated this initiative, would like to extend thanks to Ms. Lennon, the Art teacher and her class in Ballyhaunis Community School and the Community Guard for assisting with this Christmas project.
