Care packages for care home residents

Description

The Donegal Age Friendly programme provided care packages to older people twice during 2020, packages were distributed at at the point where older people were asked to cocoon and a second package was delivered at the onset of Winter. Over 12.500 packages had been distributed but it was identified that residents of care homes were not been catered for, at a time at no one was allowed to visit them. Following consultation, a pack was designed that best catered for the needs of residents and was delivered during Christmas week. The materials were purchased using available funding and the Age Friendly Programme partnered with a TY group in each MD to prepare the packs
