Description
A calendar which includes information around the 5 ways to wellbeing. Messaging and signposting around how to Age Better was embedded in text and imagery in the calendar which was distributed to 2000 older people throughout Cavan County Council Area. Images used in the calendar were as a result of a competition for older and younger Cavan residents comprising an intergenerational approach. A contact list of helpful numbers and contacts and room for your eircode were included to provide support for older people in our district.
Aim of Initiative
Increased knowledge on how to embed the 5 ways to wellbeing within our daily lives to age better. Also to provide signposting on support organisations for healthy ageing.

3 Steps critical to success
- Engage older people to identify a way to communicate with those hard to reach to inform and educate re healthy ageing. ‘with us not for us’ approach. Work in collaboration within Cavan county council departments for successful delivery
